Roles & Responsibilities

  • Reference the Network Rules and Procedures to ensure correct worksite protection is implemented.
  • Managing the safety interface between rail operations and trackside activities.
  • Implementing and maintaining Safeworking protection methods to ensure worksite safety.
  • Coordinating and supervising workgroups operating on or near rail tracks.
  • Ensuring compliance with Queensland Rail’s Safety Management System and Safeworking procedures.
  • Monitoring local operating conditions, including train notices, toolbox talks, and critical safety notices.
  • Conducting risk assessments and applying appropriate control measures.
  • Overseeing the planning and implementation of Track Authority forms for minor and major works.
  • Managing rail traffic movements and multiple worksites as required.
